Do Animals Go to Heaven?

Welcome to a new special season of talking about topics, where meaningful and thoughtful topics are discussed, usually with both earthly and Christian viewpoints. I say usually, since every now and then I'm planning to do it every other Wednesday, I will be releasing either guest episodes or Christian question episodes. The question episodes won't usually have two viewpoints, such as this one. This Wednesday's special episode is on a question that many children think about when losing a pet.

0:39 This question is Do animals go to heaven? Discussion. Now, this question does not have a clear answer in the Bible, so we will just discuss the question, and I will state my opinion, and y'all can email me what y'all think. Now let's dive in. For the first point I would like to make, I'm going to read Genesis chapter 1, verses 20 through 26 in the Bible. And God said, Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky. So God created the great creatures of the sea, and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind.

1:23 And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, Be fruitful and increase in number, and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth. And there was evening and there was morning the fifth day. And God said, Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds, the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind. And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds.

1:58 And God saw that it was good. Then God said, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all of the creatures that move along the ground. If you are wondering why I decided to highlight this passage, it's because it shows one important thing. Animals were made in the beginning when Earth was still perfect. God wanted animals to be with us in a perfect world, so why wouldn't he continue it?

2:31 One point people like to make is that animals do not have souls.

2:38 But would this stop them from going to heaven? I really don't know. We won't know for a while until we can ask God when we go to heaven. The last point I would like to mention is that some animals are violent. People like to say this as a point for how they don't go to heaven. But even humans are violent at times since sin entered into the world. Now there's no clear answer about this yet, but I personally believe that animals do go to heaven after they die. If you disagree, that's perfectly fine.

3:10 We all have to have opinions and reasons for them. We shouldn't let these opinions break our communities up. The breakup of communities led to the breakup of Christianity and led to many different Christian denominations where disagreements in Christianity are common.
